170th Anniversary Proclamation

On Tuesday, June 10th, 2008, Governor Perdue placed his signature on the 170th Anniversary Proclamation.

In addition to the Governor Perdue signature on the 170th Anniversary Proclamation, as of June 12th, 2008, the Proclaimation has been adopted and signed by 19 counties and 19 cities.

Linda Baker, secretary of the Georgia Chapter of Trail of Tears Association composed and was the main force behind the drive to give the state, counties, and cities, and opportunity to participate in the 170th Anniversary of the Trail of Tears.
